There are people who impact our lives, who awaken something special in us, who irreversibly open our eyes and transform our way of seeing the world.
You all were very important to our lives. We love you all very much and in spite of all the arguments, we’ve learned a lot.
We are all thankful for our teachers for putting up with our mess, being patient, taking care of us, not giving up on us, and teaching us, not only to improve our knowledge but also to help us become better people.
We would like to apologize for the times we made you lose your temper. We are aware that you did it all because you had our best interests at heart.
For every time that you helped us, taught us and made us overcome challenges we want to say thank you. For all we have ever gone through and succeeded in.
Letter to the parents
We are all gathered here to celebrate an achievement, the end of an important phase - our Middle School graduation. This was only possible because of you.
You enrolled us in this course, and made us come through it, even when we wanted to give up.
You insisted and said it would make a difference in our future, that our lives would be easier because of the bilingual course and that we would have greater opportunities because of it.
You may not believe but we do believe it, and we are thankful for you persisting and never giving up on us.
We can see how much we have grown and evolved and not only that, we spent four years in middle school and we will never forget all the remarkable moments we had here.
Thanks for everything you provided us! We love you.
Teacher Josy Carmo - Graduation Speech
Congratulations on successfully finishing Middle School. I didn’t have the chance to know you for very long but the time we spent together was certainly meaningful and rewarding. It has been an amazing year watching each of you grow. My wish for you is that life becomes all that you want it to be. I hope that your dreams stay big and that your worries stay small.
This is the end of an important phase of your life but I would like to remind you that every end is a new beginning. Keep your spirits high and determination unshaken and you should always succeed. With courage, faith and efforts you shall conquer everything you desire. Congratulations on your accomplishments and best wishes for all to come!
I'd like to finish my speech with a quote from F. Scott Fitzgerald:
For what it’s worth… it’s never too late, or in my case too early, to be whoever you want to be. There’s no time limit. Start whenever you want.
You can change or stay the same. There are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it.
I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you’ve never felt before. I hope you meet people who gave a different point of view.
I hope you live a life you’re proud of, and if you’re not, I hope you have the courage to start over again.
