Building language skills through games and play
Did you know that in Grade 2 students may perform for the very first time a Cambridge exam by the end of the school year? It is an excellent opportunity for them to gain confidence and improve their skills in the additional language, such as listening, speaking, reading and writing.
At Colégio Emilie students are not trained to perform such exams, instead, they are prepared to do it as the content is integrated to different subject areas, such as Language Arts, Mathematics, and Science. They not only develop language skills in different areas of development, but also construct meaningful lifelong learning as they naturally learn the additional language.
Learning prepositions can be a challenge: in, on, next to, between, in front of, behind… Our young children have been putting into practice learning by playing fun games. The most important thing is to engage kids to learn and have fun at the same time! Take a look at the pictures and check it out!

Construindo habilidades de linguagem por meio de jogos e brincadeiras
Você sabia que no Grade 2 os alunos podem realizar pela primeira vez um exame Cambridge no final do ano letivo? É uma excelente oportunidade para eles ganharem confiança e aprimorarem suas habilidades na língua adicional, como na escuta, fala, leitura e escrita.
No Colégio Emilie os alunos não são treinados para a realização desses exames, mas sim preparados para isso, pois os objetos de conhecimento estão integrados a diferentes componentes curriculares, como Língua Inglesa, Matemática e Ciências. Eles não apenas desenvolvem habilidades linguísticas em diferentes áreas, mas também constroem uma aprendizagem significativa ao longo da vida à medida que se apropriam naturalmente da língua adicional.
